Colin O'Reilly

Colin O’Reilly received his PhD in Economics from Suffolk University in 2014. Currently he is an Associate Professor of Economics at Creighton University and a Scholar at Creighton’s Institute for Economic Inquiry. Colin’s research is focused on the institutions that promote economic development, in particular institutions that facilitate post-conflict recovery. He has studied firm investment decisions in Eastern Europe and the post-genocide legal system in Rwanda. In addition, he has published how crises such as wars can influence the scope of economic regulation. His articles have appeared in peer reviewed journals including Public Choice, European Journal of Political Economy, and World Development.
